People often ask me what the difference is between Reiki and shamanic healing. It is a fair question, especially when you are new to energy work and trying to understand what might be right for you.
The simplest way I can explain it is this: Reiki is like a warm bath for your energy body. Shamanic healing is like surgery.
Both are powerful. Both are valid. They serve different purposes and work beautifully together.
Reiki
Reiki is a gentle, flowing form of energy healing. It works with universal life force energy to promote deep relaxation, stress relief, and the body's natural ability to heal itself. It is non-invasive, deeply soothing, and wonderful for general wellbeing, anxiety, stress, and maintaining energetic balance.
Think of Reiki as ongoing nourishment for your energy body. It keeps things flowing, clears minor blockages, and supports overall health.
Shamanic Healing
Shamanic healing goes deeper into specific issues. It works with the luminous energy field to address particular imprints, traumas, and patterns. It includes practices like soul retrieval, extraction, and the illumination process. Shamanic healing is often what is needed when there is a specific wound, pattern, or stuck energy that needs targeted attention.
Think of shamanic healing as the deep dive. It goes to the root of a specific issue and works to resolve it at the energetic level.
Which should you choose?
In my practice, I do not make you choose. I listen to what your energy body needs and respond accordingly. Sometimes a session is mostly Reiki. Sometimes it is deep shamanic work. Often it is a blend of both, along with crystal therapy and other modalities. The healing leads, not the technique.
If you are unsure what you need, that is absolutely fine. You do not need to know. That is my job. Just come as you are and let the work unfold.
