If you have never had a shamanic healing session before, it is completely natural to feel a mix of curiosity and nerves. I have been practising for over 17 years, and I still remember how my first experiences with shamanic work felt. Let me walk you through exactly how to prepare so you can get the most from your session.

Before the Session

In the days leading up to your session, try to be gentle with yourself. Reduce alcohol and caffeine if you can. Spend some time in nature. Pay attention to your dreams. Your energy body often begins preparing before the session even starts.

You do not need to have a clear intention, though many people find it helpful to reflect on what they would like to release or what they are hoping to shift. If you are unsure, that is perfectly fine. We will talk at the beginning of the session and find the right focus together.

Practical Preparation for Online Sessions

If your session is online via Zoom, find a quiet space where you will not be disturbed for about 90 minutes. Lie down on a bed or sofa with a blanket nearby. Have water within reach. Make sure your phone is on silent. Test your internet connection beforehand. You want to be as comfortable as possible so you can fully relax into the process.

What to Wear

Comfortable, loose fitting clothing is ideal. You will be lying down for most of the session. Remove any heavy jewellery if it feels right, though this is not essential.

During the Session

I will guide you through everything. There is nothing you need to do except be present and open. I will explain what I am working on as we go. Some people feel strong sensations. Others feel very little during the session itself but notice shifts in the days and weeks that follow. Both are completely normal.

After the Session

The days following a session are important. Drink plenty of water. Rest when you need to. You may feel tired, emotional, or unusually clear and energised. All of these responses are normal. I will give you specific guidance tailored to what came up in your session.

The Most Important Thing

There is no wrong way to show up for a healing session. You do not need to meditate beforehand. You do not need to have read any books. You just need to be willing. That is enough.
